Who I Am & Why I Travel

"I'm not a travel blogger who quit her job. I'm proof that you don't have to”
- Joba
I'm Joba, a Canadian travel creator and the face behind Perfect Paths. Although I work full-time, travel has always been non-negotiable for me. Not because I dream of quitting my job and living out of a suitcase, but because I genuinely love my career and routine, and I refuse to put any part of it on hold waiting for a "right time" that may never come.
I had absolutely no idea what was brewing when I took my very first big-girl (read: solo) trip to Paris in 2017, but I figured it out and have been figuring it out ever since. Destination by destination, PTO day by PTO day, dollar by dollar. Over the last decade, I've traveled to over 20 countries, and I've done it solo, with my partner, friends, and now with my daughter.
Perfect Paths exists because I kept getting the same message from people around me: I'd love to travel, but... But I have a job. But I only get two weeks of vacation. But I have a kid now. But I can't afford it. And I get it. So, If you've ever thought "I'd love to travel, but…" — this blog is for you.
